Breakfast. It’s the most important meal of the day. Yeah, yeah, you’ve heard it before. And you’re likely familiar with stats like “People who regularly skip breakfast add 1.8″ to their waistlines”. So you care, but breakfast is the meal you think least about.
Understandable. I’m on autopilot in the morning. Which is why I have the same thing every single day. Not kidding. Every single morning I down this:
My breakfast sandwich: 2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon, a slice of cheese, on whole grain or rye bread. A couple of shots of hot sauce round it out.
Sure it could be healthier. But at roughly 300 calories and loaded with protein, it jump starts my metabolism and keeps me full for hours. And I cook it in 10 minutes while assembling my brown bag lunch.
Copy my strategy (not necessarily my sandwich)
Have a go-to breakfast you can make mindlessly every day. Variety is not a necessity in early hours. Consistencey and ease are.
Or, if you must, have a rotation of 2 or 3 easy breakfast staples. But please, do not include a sugary breakfast cereal in the rotation. I’m begging you.
